Today was another odds and ends day. I started by reworking the support angles for the engine induction air filter as the filter was still too high in relation to the cowling. I fabricated longer support angles so the filter assembly mounts lower. I also modified the alternate air source control cable mount bracket at the rear of the induction air filter because the previous support bracket was able to swivel. Also I installed the duct at the front of the air filter to interface with the cowling. Next I installed the propreller, torqued and safety wired the retaining bolts. I also installed the propeller spinner. I noticed the main alternator field wire had not been fully secured so I added a few more tie wraps. I also added a couple more terminal boots, one at the starter solenoid and one at the essential alternator feed cable. I also installed doubler plates on the aft baffle for the baffle to plenum retaining screws. Lastly I trial fit the lower cowling with the propeller installed. I had to open the cowling gear leg slot to get the cowling on. It is still a difficult fit and will need some more iterations to get a better fit.
